Step-by-Step Mode

Step-by-Step Mode lets you go through each stage of the workflow one at a time. After each step completes, you review the results and confirm before the next step begins.

Use this mode when you want to:

• Check and correct column mapping if your BOQ Excel file has a non-standard layout
• Review blueprint page classifications and fix any misidentified pages before extraction runs
• Work at your own pace without committing to a fully automated run

Step 1 — Upload and review your BOQ

Applies to BOQ + Blueprints and BOQ Only projects.

1. Upload your Excel BOQ file (.xlsx or .xls)
2. Xtimo AI detects which columns contain descriptions, units, quantities, and rates
3. If the column layout is unclear, a mapping screen appears — assign each column to its correct role
4. Review the list of extracted work items
5. Confirm to continue

Step 2 — Upload and review blueprints

Applies to BOQ + Blueprints and Blueprints Only projects.

1. Upload your architectural drawing PDFs (multiple files supported)
2. Xtimo AI classifies each page — floor plan, elevation, section, detail, cover sheet, etc.
3. Review the classifications — you can correct individual pages if any are misidentified
4. Confirm to start extraction

Step 3 — Quantity and price finding (automatic)

This step runs automatically after you confirm Step 2. No action is needed from you. A progress indicator shows when it's running.

When complete, you're taken to the Final Audit page.

Step 4 — Final Audit

Review the anomalies flagged by the verification pass — missing prices, unusual quantities, duplicates, and more.

Step 5 — AI Assistant and export

Use the AI Assistant to make changes, ask questions, or refine the BOQ. When you're satisfied, export to Excel.
